And my aquarel painting is finished! It's for a very special birthday and the flowers are very symbolic: the blue flowers are her children, the purple her grandchildren and the orange her great-grandchildren (one still in the belly of the mom; that's the flower-bud). The two little stars represent the family members who died and last but not least, the number in the center...I think that doesn't need any explanation, does it? klikken om te bewerken. Mijn aquarel schilderij is klaar!
For all my friends who have a hard time: Allow sorrow is also a way of being strong Voor al mijn vrienden die het moeilijk hebben:
Verdriet toelaten is ook een vorm van Sterk zijn From my art-journal.
Just some experimenting with left over paint, painting structure, adding flowers and a sort of header. The text is very appropriate for today: Happy birthday! Do you fly with me over this art-journal page? I was practicing how I can paint a sky in watercolor, I drew a face from my imagination (and without first sketching!) and had fun with drawing and painting a dog, flowers and a little lady... have a nice flight!
Video Virgin So you know my art journal is a place to play and try new things ... It defenitely is this time! Not only IN my journal, where I was testing how I could easy use an old T- shirt in it, but also OUTSIDE it: Because this video-shy-girl did have the courage to hit the record button, wrestled with and editing program, warns you for new, self made, English words and crossers her fingers that doing a voice-over ( how weard is it to talk to yourself and hear your own voice!) will get easier if she does it more often! But: she survived! And is now curious about your opinion. What do you think of this camera position? And if you want to see more of this types of video's, don't forget to hit the like button Of course, other comments and tips are also welcome for this no-longer-video-virgin-girl. Have a Colourful Day! Have a Colourful Day! A little bit of everything:
testing a colour, drawing an idea, painting flowers with a 'loose' style, adding some doodles and before you know it the whole art journal page is full: have a colourful day! Een beetje vanalles wat Een kleur testen, een idee al tekenend 'noteren', aquarel bloemen 'losse stijl' oefenen, nog wat doodles erbij en voor je het weet is er weer een art journal blad gevuld: Have a colourful day! |
Art journaling and mixed-media-art are for me a creative way to relax.
It's a place ( in contrast to everyday life), where I don't overthink everything and it doesn't have to be perfect. I just start to draw, play with different materials, write something and then see what's happening. It’s a wonderful flow! It's a Colourful Day! Archives
